Another awesome week for week 4 of Jamie Eason's Live Fit Trainer. The workouts for week 4 are exactly the same as week 3, which meant 5 days of glorious weight training.
So what can I say about week 4...
Week 4 was a tiny but more hectic than the other 3 weeks. I had a long weekend planned at the beach with my family so I had to move things around to make it work. During the week while I was home, my diet was fine...but I did indulge for one day while away. I felt horrible after indulging. Not only did I know I didn't eat clean, but the food make me so sick. I am not sure if it was my body not being used to anything that was not cooked to my standard or not but after getting sick that first day I decided no more eating out this trip and hit the grocery store. I also felt a little bloated after eating "bad" food but by Tuesday I was fully recovered from it.
The workouts for week 4 were a little shorter than week 3 because I had familiarized myself more with the workouts. I started on Sunday so I could leave Thursday afternoon after working out, so my schedule was:
Sunday - Legs, Monday - Back & Biceps, Tuesday - Chest & Triceps, Wednesday - Legs, and Thursday - Shoulders & Abs.
Holy mother of LEGS! I feel like I worked out legs a gazillion times the past two weeks so I was so glad there was still no cardio this week.
Since I'm finished now with my 4th week I will say that I'm still loving it and planning on continuing. I have not weighed myself since starting the program. I really feel like focusing on the number on the scale can cause you to be negative about your progress. I knew from the beginning of this that since there was no cardio the first four weeks I would not be losing an astronomical amount of weight and I would also be putting on muscle. My personal feeling is it's about how my clothes fit and how I feel I look and not a number. When I'm where I should be, I'll know. So while I cannot give you a number of pounds lost, I will tell you that my legs have slimmed down, my arms are toner (I have some serious triceps and a little bicep bump!), and my stomach is getting flatter. Overall, I feel really strong! I'm really excited to see how introducing some low intensity cardio is going to help change my body during phase 2...and I'm even more excited to start shredding in phase 3!
So I am finally caught up with my reviews. I'm hoping to review week 5 for you on Monday!
I'm four days into week 5 now, so if you have any questions for what it is like going forward, any diet questions, or any random general questions feel free to ask!
